Richard Juge of Metairie, Louisiana, to Lead CCIM Institute


CHICAGO (October 14, 2009) – Richard E. Juge, CCIM, was elected the 2010 president of the CCIM Institute, an international commercial real estate organization with 16,000 members worldwide. The institute confers the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation to qualified commercial real estate and allied professionals.


Juge is president of RE/MAX Commercial Brokers, Inc., with offices in Metairie and Mandeville, Louisiana. He will be installed as president of the institute at its fall business meetings this week in Honolulu, Hawaii. Juge is the institute’s 44th president and the second to hail from New Orleans.


A 22-year commercial real estate veteran, Juge was honored by the New Orleans Metro Commercial Investment Division for the largest commercial office leases in 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2002; the largest special purpose transaction in 1998; and the largest industrial lease of 2004, 2005, and 2006. He is a senior instructor for the CCIM Institute’s User Decision Fern, Market Fern, and Introduction to Commercial Investment Real Estate Fern courses. Juge has held numerous leadership positions at the national, regional and local levels, including president of the Louisiana CCIM Chapter. He is a RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and a perennial Platinum Club member. He also holds the SIOR (Society of Office and Industrial Realtors), and CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designations.


Since 1969, the Chicago-based CCIM Institute has conferred the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation to commercial real estate and allied professionals through an extensive curriculum of 200 classroom hours, and professional experiential requirements. Currently, there are more than 9,000 CCIMs in 1,000 markets in the U.S. and 31 additional countries.
